DCS/SX Direct Connect |
07/02/2010 |
just finished installing the DCS/SX on my 2009 Street Glide this evening. It took me longer than expected due to some modifications i had to make on the horizontal brackets. I had to bend the ledge where some of the wire modules snap to to make room for the speaker magnets. other than that it was a pretty straight-forward install.
my system is definitely much louder now, but there is still distortion at volumes close to max. this is, of course, due to the HK system on the bike, and not hawg wired's fault. i'm going to be looking at the Sony receivers to replace the stock, which should make use of the Direct Connect system to its full potential!

PSC/DX Double Shot |

For the past 36 years I've been listening to a pair of Klipsch K-Horns in my living room at home. Wouldn't trade em' for anything. When it came to my Street Glide, which was my first bike w/factory sounds other than BUB's, I wanted the best. I know that's debateable. But the only manufacturer out there that had the cajones' to print out their specs was Hawg Wired. When I read the THD I flipped. Noother manufacturer would give me their THD. Some didn't know what that was. And there in the business. WOW!
I purchased the PCS3002 w/DX504-70's. My wife had to come get me out of my man cave to go to bed that night. That weekend my wife and I rode to Nashville to visit our daughter. Good reason to try out the new system. What a system it is....I can now cruze at 70 and not have to over drive the stock amp. The Classic Vinyl station on Sattelite Radio never sounded like this before. Yeah we got flooded in that weekend so we decided to keep cruzing all the way into Orlando for another week on the road. We didn't want to stop. Amaizing. Now I want to add the rear speakers and probably the Sub Sattelite too. This sure beats the Bell Helmet w/ear holes cut out to fit my ProKoshAA's back in 74' as I cruzed the highways on my Sporty. You guys ROCK!

Damn!!! This thing rocks!!! Installed on a 99 road glide. This along with the Alpine head unit I purchased is amazing. Ipod control at my fingertips. The only thing that has changed is that I can actually hear the music instead of trying to hear it! thanks Hawg-Wired!

DK470 DIN Radio Install Kit |
04/24/2010 |
If you are changing the radio in your bike to an aftermarket stereo, YOU NEED THIS KIT!!!! I'm not easily impressed and even when pleased with a product I can usually see somewhere a corner was cut to save on manufacturing. NOT WITH THIS PRODUCT! It is extremely well made, fits like factory equipment and is rock solid. The price is worth every penny (you know you've spent more than that on crap that didn't work). Finally, a company that cares about QUALITY.

DCS/SX Direct Connect |

It has been 6 months since I installed my kit. I am wondering if adding the new tweeters could help? My audio quality is not where I hoped/expected. The speakers have tweeters....but still it is not enough. I am also wondering if all the great reviews are from folks that have not put performance exhaust systems on the bikes.

DCS/SX Direct Connect |
03/13/2010 |
Sounds better than a stock system but still nothing to write home about. Starts to distort after turning it up past the halfway point. The drawing in the instructions makes it look like you need to mount the amp straight up and down. I had to turn mine at about an 80 degree angle to prevent the bottom corner of the amp from hitting the fairing on my RG. Other than that, the install is pretty easy and straightforward.
