HSA470 Harley To Sony Radio Install Kit |
07/11/2011 |
I just installed this product on my 1999 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic. This kit was so simple to install and the directions were great! It took me approximately two hours to put this kit into my bike using a Sony CDX-M60UI Marine grade stereo. All of my controls on my handle bars work great and it sounds good even with stock speakers. The install looks awesome and you certainly get what you pay for as all the components are metal and feel substantial and look good! I am very happy with it! Now I need to install the 6.5 inch speakers using the adapters sold here!

PSC3004 PSC Series 300W (4x75) Amplifier |
06/19/2011 |
I just finished the install of the PSC3004. It tooke me two days, but I was rewiring the entire speaker wires to the rear saddle bags. Install was pretty straight forward. The comment I have is that the instructions could be a little more clear when not connecting the HW speaker systems. Other than that, it went pretty smoothly. I wanted to ensure that the cabling was run neatly. I installed weatherproof shrink wrap on all connections that I made and I also ran the speaker wires in flexible tubing to make it look neat. Instead of using standard automotive audio speaker wire, I used Monster XP-CI High Performance CL3 rated speaker cable. Yeah, it is made for in/out wall installation; however, I found that it carries the signal great. I installed the PSC3004 in a 2009 HD FLHX, stock HD HK radio (need to either upgrade the stereo next (probably should have done it all at once so I wouldn't have to do it again) or a signal processor to clean up the sound further), Biketronics Titan (a.k.a. Hertz) XL 6.5" speakers in batwing w/Hogtunes Tweeterpod, and Titan XL 6.5" speakers in the saddlebags.

Just finished installing this system in a 2006 streetglide, Took me about 2 hours to install. Their not kidding about plug and play very easy to install. Replaced a hogtune amp & j&m 7.25 speakers with this system. This system blows away my old system,it's worth the extra money. Thanks Hawg Wired for a great systems.

DCS/SX Direct Connect |

I'd like to start with a comment about my experience with customer service. Justin and Rob corrected a mistake in shipping address, with a response that was beyond outstanding. My street number and street were correct but the City and State from (apparently) another customer in their data base was inadvertantly inserted. I caught the mistake while tracking the shipment but not before the package made it's way half way across the country (I live only about a hundred fifty miles from Hawg-Wired). They, realizing immediatly that the quickest way to get the order to me at that point, was to overnight a new package, and intercept the original to return to sender, rather than waiting to make a u-turn again from the sender's address. They did this dispite the extra costs of overnighting Friday for an increased Saturday delivery cost.
Having said that, I couldn't be happier with the clear, undistorted, and strong sound this system puts out. You would think it was a home system with woofers and all. Blows my stock system out of the water. I have an 07 Street Glide with added tour pak and rear speaker pods. I also have pipes that my stock stereo system could not compete with. My 110 Screamin Eagle hot rod with V&H Pro Pipes has met it's match with the "Front to Back" system. My wife and I listen to XM Sattelite whenever we ride, and can't wait to crank it up on our next ride (if only the "California Weather" would come back! Is it my birthday? Yep!

Just installed the system last week. All I can say is very impressive. Very clear at the higher speeds. I looked at and heard other brands and while their price looked nice paying a little extra proved to be worth its weight in gold. Best system out there. You have a loyal customer here.

DCS/SX Direct Connect |
07/02/2010 |
just finished installing the DCS/SX on my 2009 Street Glide this evening. It took me longer than expected due to some modifications i had to make on the horizontal brackets. I had to bend the ledge where some of the wire modules snap to to make room for the speaker magnets. other than that it was a pretty straight-forward install.
my system is definitely much louder now, but there is still distortion at volumes close to max. this is, of course, due to the HK system on the bike, and not hawg wired's fault. i'm going to be looking at the Sony receivers to replace the stock, which should make use of the Direct Connect system to its full potential!
